Vocal Cord Dysfunction

Vocal Cord Dysfunction (VCD), also known as Paradoxical Vocal Cord Motion (PVCM), leads to asthma-like symptoms, but these symptoms are a result of an abnormal closing of the vocal cords rather than inflammation of the airways. (source: www.nationaljewish.org)
