Important information and update about COVID-19

Dear Families,

We would like to provide you with and update of our situation, the services we are providing and the precautions we are taking during this challenging time.

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we are keeping up to date with reliable information and following the advice of reputable sources;

We understand this is a particularly challenging and uncertain time for many, but we want to assure you that we are maintaining yours and our health as a priority whilst we maintain business continuity.

Our Services:
  • Scheduled sessions are going ahead as planned.

Clinic visits will experience no disruption, school visits will depend on individual circumstances - we advise you to contact us if your school has placed restrictions on visitors.

  • All new assessments have been placed on hold.

This is to limit disruptions to ongoing service planning and to ensure existing clients remain our priority.

  • No nursing home bookings are being taken at this time.

The Government has placed a ban on nursing home visits and it is our priority to keep this population safe.

Your understanding is appreciated in relation to session notes, reports, invoicing and other correspondence as it is likely that an extended timeframe will be required.

Maintaining Safety:

The following procedures and precautions have been implemented to ensure we are following appropriate guidelines and minimising or eliminating any potential health risks:

  • Toys and resources are being kept to a minimum in sessions, with single use and/or easily disinfected items being preferred.

  • Cleaning of toys and resources (using detergent and water or disinfectant solution/spray) after each use.

  • Frequent handwashing and use of alcohol-based hand rub.

  • Minimising or eliminating activities where oral droplets may be concerning (e.g. lip trills in voice therapy)

  • Additional staff training in hygiene and cleaning and extensive daily waiting room cleaning.

Your Involvement:

We ask that you assist us in helping to maintain a healthy working environment and demonstrate patience.

  • If you or someone in your household is feeling unwell, PLEASE contact us to let us know.

  • Follow the guidelines set by the Government - abide by isolation requirements and practice good hygiene.

  • Advise by phone or email ASAP if a session needs to be cancelled or rescheduled. No cancellation fees are being implemented at this time, regardless of the timeframe of cancellation, however we ask for your diligence in communication.

Please contact us to discuss any feedback or concerns.

Kind regards,

Stacie
